Leveraging THORChain for Multi-Chain Swaps
Since decentralizing into a DAO and releasing our new open source web app, we wanted to continue offering this awesome capability to our users, who are now able to use the ShapeShift web and mobile app to trade to/from the native assets that THORChain supports.
The protocol currently supports swaps between seven major ecosystems: bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), binance coins (BNB), dogecoin (DOGE), litecoin (LTC), bitcoin cash (BCH) and rune (RUNE). Notable ERC-20 assets THORChain supports include: FOX, AAVE, XDEFI, DAI and YFI.
ShapeShift and THORChain share many of the same values, one of which is providing access to true decentralized, immutable finance by allowing anyone in the world to trade one digital asset with another in a frictionless, decentralized, non custodial way.

ShapeShift Releases New and Improved Mobile App and Migrates Legacy Users
On October 19, 2022 we announced the release of our new open source mobile app and migration of our legacy users. Migrating all users to the new open-source web and mobile app marks significant milestones in the journey to complete decentralization for the ShapeShift community.
The new app positions ShapeShift to be the best decentralized free app to buy, sell, earn, track, and trade assets while providing an innovative approach to user experience and transparency—whether on the go or in your home.
Springing off the driving momentum of recent chain and protocol integrations such as THORChain and Avalanche, our app is quickly becoming the easiest way to interact with the Web3 ecosystem.

Migrating Our Governance Forum to Web3
Our governance process and the ability to completely dictate our DAO’s direction via on-chain voting has been one of the biggest pillars we stand on.
Last month, we migrated our governance platform to a completely Web3-native governance forum一Metaforo. This migration is another step forward in our progressive decentralization.

Pre-authorize $500,000 FOX purchase or creation of LP tokens
Total Proposed Budget: $500,000
- By passing this proposal, ShapeShift DAO voted to spend up $500,000 worth of stablecoins from its treasury in order to purchase a corresponding amount of FOX on the open market, primarily to defend the liquidity of FOX on Uniswap V2.
Grant Ops Workstream authority to Appoint/Remove Push Delegates
Total Proposed Budget: $0
- With the passing of this proposal, ShapeShift DAO authorizes the Operations Workstream Leader to make requests to the DAO’s multisig to add or remove delegates from the DAO’s Push Channel smart contract.
